SELECTIVE TRAP FOR ASIAN HORNETS
FROM TRAPPING TO NEST LOCATION BY TRIANGULATION
Everyone can play an effective role in the fight against Asian hornets by locating nests through triangulation. Using GOOD4BEES wick pots and attractants, together with the Vespafinder app, it is possible to estimate the position of nests and even find them. It couldn’t be simpler: just follow the steps below:

01 Attraction
Set up one or more wick pots containing the sweet Vespattract attractant to attract Asian hornets. Mark them with a coloured marker so you can recognise them.

02 Triangulation
Using the Vespafinder app, repeatedly determine the direction and duration of the Asian hornets’ flights back and forth. This will allow you to estimate where the nests are located by triangulation.

03 Localisation
Now that you know the approximate location of the nest, you can try to locate it visually. The nest is often found near the top of a tall tree.

04 Destruction
Contact experts who will come and destroy the nest.
